ABOUT ME

Originally from Twin Falls, Idaho I left the Potato State to pursue a career in journalism. I then shifted my focus to PR and graduated from USU with a BS in Communications and minor in Public Relations. Go Aggies!

While at USU I was highly involved in university programs. I am an Alpha Chi Omega Alumnae, former President of True Blue Communications, the Journalism and Communications Department ad agency, and Vice President of USU’s PRSSA chapter. I was also a member of the National Society for Collegiate Scholars and graduated from the USU Communications Department with honors. In 2021 I graduated with my masters in management and leadership from Western Governor’s University.

My first position out of college was at Penna Powers a marketing-advertising agency in Salt Lake where I primarily worked with the Utah Department of Transportation (UDOT). While there I learned skills in public speaking as I presented throughout the state of Utah to high school students for UDOT’s Zero Fatalities Truck Smart program.

After working at Penna Powers I came to Intermountain Healthcare. I interned at Logan Regional while at USU and was able to come back to work there just 2 short years later.

While at Intermountain Healthcare I worked at Logan Regional Hospital, McKay-Dee Hospital and helped open the new Intermountain Layton Hospital as the Marketing Manager. I then became the Marketing and Communications manager for Logan Regional Hospital with supervising responsibilities for Bear River Hospital as well. I have been able to gain the special skills and knowledge needed to be able to market a hospital and healthcare organization effectively.

My current positions is the Chief Communications Officer at CAPSA. I oversee the marketing, communications, prevention & education, volunteer services and community engagement departments at CAPSA. CAPSA is a non-profit domestic violence shelter and rape recovery center serving Cache, Rich and Franklin, Idaho counties.  I currently have a team of direct reports that oversee 25% of CAPSA's current workforce.

I love the work that I do. In my spare time I enjoy singing, traveling, broadway music, 4-wheeling and spending time with family.
